Summer has flown by!  As the pace of our activities begins to slow and we return to a more familiar rhythm in preparation for the fall, perhaps this is an invitation to do more than simply adjust our schedules.  It is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and make room for God.

Life often moves at a hurried pace.  Our calendars fill quickly, our responsibilities multiply, and before we realize it, we can become so busy doing things that we forget simply to be.  Yet, in the midst of our busy lives, God continues to invite us to pause, to listen, and to pray.  Slowing down is not a waste of time; it is an opportunity to become attentive to what truly matters.

Change always brings opportunities.  Even when circumstances are uncertain or demanding, we are called to recognize where God may be leading us and to embrace the possibilities placed before us.  Prayer gives us the space to discern those opportunities and to ask ourselves:  What is God asking of me at this moment? What changes am I being called to make? What do I need to let go of, begin again, or entrust to God?

As we look toward the fall and eventually the frantic season of the holidays, let us resist the temptation to fill every moment with activity.  Instead, may we intentionally set aside time for silence, prayer, reflection, and gratitude.  These moments of stillness can restore our spirits, renew our perspective, and help us direct our energy toward the people and things that truly give life.

Prayer also reminds us that we are not meant to journey alone.  When we make space for God, we become more attentive to the needs of others and more capable of bringing His presence into our homes, workplaces, and communities.  May our prayer move us beyond ourselves and inspire us to build a community where respect, mercy, compassion, and kindness are not simply ideals, but a way of life.

As this new season begins, I invite you to slow down, make time for prayer, and listen for the gentle ways in which God may be speaking to your heart.  May the coming months be a time of renewal—a time to deepen our relationship with God, rediscover what truly matters, and prepare our hearts and spirits for the celebrations to come.

May you have a blessed and peaceful Fall season, filled with moments of grace, reflection, and prayer.

SYNOPSIS OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 19, 2026

·         ASSEMBLY 3210 MEMBERS NEED TO STEP UP FOR FUTURE OFFICER POSITIONS.  VETERAN OFFICERS WILL BE STEPPING DOWN FROM LONG TERM SERVICE.  BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF ASSEMBLY 3210.  BECOME AN OFFICER IN THE NEXT FRATERNAL YEAR.

·         Thanks to St Veronica Parish for sharing their meeting space with us during renovation of St Josaphat Parish House.

·         Special Guest, SK Donald Schwartz, Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, received a $500 donation from Assembly 3210.

·         SK Alberto Jimenez and his Lady Ellen received a $500 donation under the Refund Support Vocations Program for their son William Jimenez who begins his second year at Immaculate Heart of Mary Lower Seminary in Winona, Minnesota.

·         From Aug 16, 2026, email communication:  SK Jack V Wrbanich has been reappointed to serve as District Master of the Wisconsin Eastern District through June 30, 2028.  He aspires to continue strengthening our Assemblies, growing the Fourth Degree, developing our Honor Guards, expanding opportunities for patriotic service, and—most importantly—building a culture in which every Sir Knight understands that he has a role in the future of our Order.

·         From the Eastern District Master’s September 2026 Monthly Report:  SK Jack V Wrbanich asks us to put Catholic patriotism into action.  As we begin this next fraternal year, he asks each Assembly to consider a simple question:  What are we doing today to make our Assembly stronger tomorrow?  The next Fourth Degree Exemplification will be held Saturday, September 19, at All Saints Catholic Parish in Berlin, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes Assembly 1210.  Now is the time for every Assembly—and every Sir Knight—to make one more personal invitation.

·         Area 2 upcoming events:

·         Stars and Stripes Honor Flights at General Mitchell International Airport in 2026 are scheduled for Saturday September 12,  Saturday October 10, and Saturday November 7.  Save the dates and participate when possible.

·         Honor Guard:  Feast of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Basilica of Saint Josaphat, Aug 26 6:30 PM, Mass with a public procession;  25th Anniversary of 9/11, Sep 11 1:00 pm at the Sesquicentennial Bandshell in Kenosha;  Close of 75th Anniversary St Matthias Sep 13 10:00 am Mass (Cardinal Timothy Dolan presiding);  Eastern District Fourth Degree Exemplification at All Saints Catholic Parish in Berlin Sep 19;  Red Mass on Oct 06 at Cathedral of St John;  White Mass 9:00 am on Oct 17 at St Dominic’s Church in Brookfield;  Hales Corners Veteran’s Day Memorial Nov 08;  Women of Christ Nov 21 at the Brookfield Conference Center.

·         Clergy Night is planned for Nov 19 at Council 1709.

·         The last 2026 Sendik’s Food Kiosk fundraiser is scheduled for Sep 25.  Success will depend on ACTIVE PARTICIPATION by members:  3 volunteers are needed for each event from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  PLEASE PLAN TO PARTICIPATE!   Contact SK Mark at mganhalt@wi.rr.com for details.

·         Plans for the annual Turkey Raffle are underway.  Get ready to sell tickets!

·         Camp Hometown Heroes July luncheon was a success.  SK Mark Anhalt has submitted an article explaining the organization to KofC Columbian magazine to increase participation by other Councils/Assemblies.  CHH has other needs for facility maintenance, e.g., replacement and removal of a stove/hood.  Assembly 3210 will raise $500 to cover the expenses of the stove/hood removal.

·         MOTION:  To donate $500 to Camp Hometown Heroes for facility stove/hood removal with funds from the Sep 21 Brat Fry event and any balance from Assembly Charity Account is approved by unanimous consent.

·         MOTION:  For $300 to support the Xaverian Missionaries Banquet with full page ad and 2 attendance tickets is approved by unanimous consent.

·         MOTION:  For $250 for the Basilica of St Josaphat Foundation gala is approved by unanimous consent.

·         Fifth Sunday ushering for noon Mass at Basilica of St Josaphat is scheduled for Aug 30, 2026.  Help as you are able.
