Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Knights of Columbus Patriotic (Fourth) Degree Assembly at St. Josaphat was chartered on January 10, 2010. We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the parish center of the Basilica of St. Josaphat on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and 7th Street. The meetings begin at 7:00 PM.
The Patriotic Degree promotes love and respect for both our Catholic Church and our country. We are made up of members of various Knighthood (Third) Degree councils in the area.
Members of the Patriotic Degree make up the Honor Guard. This is the most visible symbol of the Knights of Columbus worldwide. Being an Honor Guard participant is not required of Patriotic Degree members, but a member is required to be in the Patriotic Degree before he can join the Honor Guard.

“Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.” – Leviticus 19:2
In the past few days, we have been shocked by the passing of Pope Francis, and many speculated about the possibilities of the new Pope. I guess my contribution to the whole debate is that we must pray for the holiness of the one who is to lead us into a deeper communion with Christ. We ought to listen to the words of Leviticus and desire to be holy as the Lord is holy; and merciful as the Lord is merciful. We must ask God for the desire to grow in moral integrity and spiritual purity so that we may become living examples of the divine nature of God.
I encourage you to pray with all your heart that our Holy Father may lead us into deeper holiness. May the joy of Easter continue to be in your hearts and transform your lives according to God's life.
Fr. Alejandro Rodriguez, s.x.

Dear Brother Sir Knights:
During his talk after the Fourth Degree Exemplification in Kenosha on April 12, our worthy Western District Master SK Duane Zaborowski told those assembled that the title "Sir Knight" is not earned; it is a gift. This gift ultimately comes not from the Knights of Columbus but from the Holy Spirit. Let us pause during this Easter season to give thanks to God for bestowing this gift upon us. Let us also thank Him for the gift of our Catholic Faith and the gift of this nation. As with all good gifts, the more we share them, the more we will enjoy them. As we go forth in faith to serve our country in ways big and small, let us also invite others to receive the gift of Sir Knighthood in the Patriotic Fourth Degree. Please invite your brother Third Degree Knights to join the Patriotic Degree. Please invite your brother Catholic gentlemen outside of our order to join us in charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. It is a gift to leverage our Catholic faith in service of our country. May God give us the courage and generosity to offer it to every man we encounter.
Thank you for all you do!
Vivat Jesus!
Fraternally,
SK Kevin Kozinski
